For most DFW moves we recommend booking at least two to three weeks out, especially for weekend dates in spring and summer. End-of-month dates book fast since many leases turn over then. We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests when our schedule allows — call and we'll tell you exactly what's available.
Your hourly rate starts when our crew arrives at your origin address and ends when everything is unloaded and set up at your new home. Travel is a fixed charge based on the mileage from the VMA office handling your move to your origin, plus the mileage from your final destination back to that office. Because it's based on mileage, not drive time, DFW traffic never changes it, and it's included in your estimate.
Yes. Our crews are experienced with heavy and specialty items including pianos and gun safes. These items require proper equipment and technique to move safely — both for the item and for the crew. Let us know about any specialty items when you call for your estimate so we can bring the right equipment and assign the right crew size for your move.
