All-veteran crews. Our own truck. Never brokered. Free estimates.

Fort Worth long distance movers ready to help. Call (817) 989-6362 for a free estimate or request one online.

Veterans Moving America has been completing long distance moves from the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2013. Every member of our team — except the founder — is a U.S. military veteran, and that discipline carries into every move we plan and execute. When you book a long distance move with us, you are booking our crew and our truck — not a broker who will hand your belongings to whichever carrier has space on the right day. The same veteran team that loads your home drives your belongings to your new address and unloads them when they arrive. That is how we have handled every long distance move we have completed, and it is the only way we operate. Serving Fort Worth, Dallas, and the entire DFW Metroplex for interstate moves since 2013. Call (817) 989-6362 for a free estimate.

Long Distance Moving Company with All-Veteran Crews

Your Belongings Never Leave Our Hands

From the moment our crew arrives at your door to the moment the last box is placed at your new home, your move is handled entirely by Veterans Moving America. We do not broker your move to a third-party carrier. We do not hand your belongings off to another company halfway through the trip. Our truck, our veterans, start to finish.

The Same Crew Loads, Drives, and Delivers

The veterans who carry your furniture out of your home are the same people who drive it to your destination and bring it inside. You know who has your belongings the entire time, and so do we. This continuity is only possible because we run our own trucks and employ our own crews — it cannot happen with a broker model.

No Hidden Carrier Fees or Brokered Surprises

Moving brokers collect a fee and then assign your move to the cheapest available carrier — often one you have never heard of, with pricing that can change on delivery day. As a long distance moving company that runs its own operations, we quote your move, we show up, and we charge what we quoted. No carrier reassignment, no last-minute adjustments at delivery.

How Fast We Deliver

Once your home is loaded, we drive. Our crews travel as quickly as they can safely and legally complete the trip, which means most long distance moves arrive within a day. Moves to farther destinations typically deliver within a few days, depending on the distance.

Compare that to the delivery windows that moving brokers and national van lines commonly give their customers — often one to three weeks, because those companies are coordinating multiple loads across a shared fleet and cannot commit to your schedule. When we load your home, that truck is going to your destination. There is no consolidation stop, no warehouse holding period, no waiting for another customer's move to be delivered first.

We will give you an honest delivery estimate based on the distance before your move day so you can plan accordingly.

How Long Distance Pricing Works

Long distance pricing at Veterans Moving America has three straightforward parts. There are no surprises, no extra fees for stairs or elevators, and nothing added at delivery.

  • Hourly labor

You pay an hourly rate for the time our crew spends loading at your origin and unloading at your destination. Drive time is not billed hourly — only the hands-on labor at each end of the move.

  • One fixed travel charge

Travel is a single fixed charge based on round-trip mileage — specifically, the mileage from our Fort Worth office to your origin, plus the mileage from your destination back to our office. That total is calculated and shown to you in your estimate before move day. It does not change when the truck rolls.

  • Per diem for overnight trips

For moves that require one or more nights on the road, there is a per diem for each crew member for each night the trip requires. This covers their food and lodging. It is calculated based on the distance of your move and included in your estimate so you know the full cost upfront.

We never charge extra for stairs, elevators, or long carries. Call (817) 989-6362 or request a quote online for a free estimate on your long distance move.

How to Prepare for a Long Distance Move

A little preparation before your loading day makes a significant difference in how smoothly your interstate move goes. Here is what our team recommends:

  • Confirm your destination address and access details

Before move day, confirm that your new address is finalized and share any access details with us — gate codes, building hours, elevator reservations, parking restrictions, or move-in windows set by a landlord or HOA. The more we know in advance, the smoother the delivery goes.

  • Decide what is going and what is not

Long distance moves are a natural moment to reduce what you own. Before your crew arrives, go through each room and set aside items you plan to donate, sell, or dispose of locally. Fewer items means a faster load, a lighter truck, and a lower hourly charge.

  • Pack what you can ahead of time

The more boxes you have sealed and labeled before the crew arrives, the faster the load goes. Label each box with its destination room, not just its contents — it helps the crew place everything correctly at delivery without extra direction from you. If you need help packing, ask about our professional packing service.

  • Plan for items that cannot travel on the truck

Some items should not travel long distances on a moving truck — plants, perishable food, hazardous materials, and certain valuables. Plan to transport these in your own vehicle or make separate arrangements before loading day so there are no last-minute decisions on the morning of your move.

  • Coordinate utilities at both ends

Schedule your utility disconnect at your current home for the day after the move, and arrange for utilities at your new address to be active before your delivery date. Arriving to a house with no power or water adds unnecessary stress to an already demanding day.

  • Professional Packing

Our veteran packers wrap and box your home before loading day. Professionally packed items travel safer on a long distance move, and you arrive at your new home with everything organized and ready to unpack.

  • Storage Services

If your move-out and move-in dates don't align, we offer secure short- and long-term storage in DFW to bridge the gap — no need to coordinate with a separate storage company.

  • Statewide Moving (Within Texas)

Moving to another Texas city? Our statewide moving service covers moves entirely within Texas — same all-veteran crew, same transparent pricing.

  • Fort Worth Movers

Our Fort Worth crews handle local and long distance moves throughout the city and surrounding Tarrant County communities.

  • Dallas Movers

Dallas long distance movers serving the city and surrounding communities with the same veteran crews and direct-carrier model.

  • DFW Movers

Serving the full Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for local, statewide, and long distance moves since 2013.
