Dear Valued Clients,

In light of recent events regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), I wanted to take a moment to share what we are doing to protect you and our veteran teams during this challenging time. Our top priority is the health and safety of our team members, clients, and communities.

What We Are Doing To Protect You

1. All high touch surfaces on the inside and outside of our trucks (steering wheels, door handles, dollies, equipment, etc.) are being cleaned with disinfectant wipes at the beginning and end of each shift.
2. In addition to wearing gloves when possible, all of our teams have an adequate supply of hand sanitizer and sterile wipes to use at their disposal.
3. Any team member that comes in close contact with or receives a positive, or presumptive positive test, for COVID-19 will be asked to follow the CDC guidelines and stay home (we have not had any team members come in contact or test positive for the virus).
4. In order to minimize the amount of people in our office at the same time, we have staggered our mission start times to spread out reporting times for our teams. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding in advance.
5. We have instructed all office personnel to work from home whenever possible.
6. In an effort to maintain the recommended 6-foot distancing between individuals, our teams will do their best to keep their distance from each other and our clients during all missions. We apologize in advance for not being polite and shaking hands upon our arrival.

What We Are Asking Of Our Clients

1. If you are able to postpone your mission date, we are asking that you contact us to do so ASAP. There will NOT be any sort of rescheduling fee or change in your estimated rate(s). We understand that this may be an inconvenience, but we believe this request is the right thing to do given the circumstances and appreciate your flexibility.
2. If you or anyone you have been in contact with have exhibited any flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days, please contact us immedietly so that we can discuss our options.

Regarding The Recent Dallas County & City of Fort Worth “Shelter-In-Place” Orders

On March 22nd, County Judge Clay Jenkins announced that all Dallas County residents should “shelter-in-place” and mandated that all non-essential businesses close through April 3rd. Shortly afterwards on the morning of March 24th, Mayor Betsy Price of Fort Worth issues a similar updated order. In accordance with both orders, VMA and other moving companies are considered “essential businesses” and will continue to provide our services to clients who cannot postpone their move date.

While some of VMA’s clients can postpone their move, many do not have the choice and need to move. For those clients are fall into the second category, VMA’s services are essential to their well being and safety, and we will continue to serve them while taking the precautions mentioned above as long as it is safe to do so. That being said, please let us know if you are able to postpone your mission to a later date so that we can focus our resources and capacity on serving those who do not have that option.
